How is the procedure?

Gamma Knife is a neurosurgical tool designed exclusively for the treatment of brain disorders.
No incisions, thereby eliminating the risk of infection and hemorrhage associated with open craniotomy.
No hair loss or scarring
No general anesthesia, eliminating the risk of anesthesia-related side effects.
Gamma Knife technology allows in hard-to-treat or inoperable cases—for instance, when tumors lie deep within the brain—or in those cases where illness or advanced age prevent surgery.
The lesion being treated receives a high dose of radiation with minimum risk to surrounding tissue or nearby structures.
It can be used o treat inoperable diseases.
Patients experience little to no discomfort. They can be return to normal activities soon, sometimes within one day.
Hospitalization is short, typically an overnight stay or an outpatient surgical procedure. Patients can immediately resume their previous activities.
